Licensing

The standard licensing is copyright. In essence, a creator may obtain a copyright license for his/her work (photograph, book, etc.) in order to protect it from copying, sharing, or any other use of his/her work without his/her permission. In the strictest legal sense, a copyright license would enable the creator to seek legal damages for almost any degree of copying or sharing of his/her work without his/her express written permission.

Creative Commons licenses are an alternative to copyright, permitting some copying, sharing, or other use of the creator’s work. All of Schaabling Shire Shoppe’s creations are licensed under an Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International Creative Commons license. See here for a brief description of this license according to CreativeCommons.org.
